Emily Gray, sophomore, won regionals and advanced to state for the first time.  She is the first girl tennis player from Pottsboro ISD to make it to the state tournament.  She placed 3rd at regionals last year and was seeded #1 this year. At regionals this year she won 48 games and only lost 8. 

Emily has been playing tennis for the past five years and is the daughter of Kathy and Allen Hadden.  Congratulations Emily!

The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness, or STAAR, will replace the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) program beginning in spring 2012. The STAAR program at grades 3–8 will assess the same grades and subjects as are assessed on TAKS. For high school, general subject-area TAKS tests will be replaced with twelve STAAR end-of-course (EOC) assessments.

Pottsboro ISD will initiate its Student Transfer Policy FDA (LOCAL) through the appropriate application process.  The application process will open on Monday, April 16, 2012 and conclude on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.  No application will be accepted by the district after the May 1, 2012 deadline.  Transfer applications will be accepted in the Office of the Superintendent located at 105 Cardinal Lane, Pottsboro, TX 75076, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.

Applications will be screened and you will be notified by the district after July 9, 2012 as to whether your child(ren) will be accepted as a transfer for the 2012-13 school year.
